Ich finde alte Medizinflaschen total wunderschön - leider auch unerschwinglich, und deshalb wollte ich immer mal ausprobieren, so etwas in meiner "Fälscherwerkstatt" selbst herzustellen. Die Kirche in der Nachbarschaft hatte gestern einen Flohmarkt, und dort fand ich ein Gewürzregal mit Glasflaschen, und schlug für einen Euro sofort zu.
Die Flaschen wurden mit Schmirgelpapier abgeschliffen und mit Acryl- und Alkoholfarben eingefärbt. Die Labels habe ich in Gimp selbst entworfen.
I really love old bottles, and always wanted to try my hand at artificially aging one. Yesterday, our local church held a flea market, and I found a spice rack with beautiful glass bottles (and very ugly plastic stoppers). I spent the afternoon looking for old labels and decided to make my own ones.
Here they are, before grunging them up and putting them on the bottles! All medicines really did exist (some still do), including the Cannabis and of course the plant after which I named myself, Valeriana.
I used mainly Alcohol Inks on the sanded bottles, some flour and acrylic paint. The labels were antiqued with Distress Inks.
Still struggling with my new camera - of course they look much nicer "in person" :-)
